After decades of working in the steel industry, it was evident that there was a need for a reliable one-stop shop Manitoba steel supplier. Someone who could be there to service anything from the weekend warrior backyard projects to the larger commercial projects.
We established Dave Copp Steel in 2006 as a single employee steel broker supplying steel products to manufacturers on a mill direct bases. By 2009 we had already established ourselves as a well-known steel distributor in Manitoba and evolved to include a full line metal service center at our current location 1305 Dugald Road in Winnipeg.
In 2017 we went through a 50% expansion on our shop, and the addition of an in-house CNC plasma table and CNC sawing capabilities in 2018, has allowed us to ensure we’re able to service our customers even further. We’ve come a long way from where we started, we’ve expanded our service areas to include all of Manitoba, North-Western Ontario, and parts of Saskatchewan. Although we’ve grown to be as large as some of our national competitors, no matter how much we grow the service we offer our customers will always be part of what sets us apart from the rest.

We are proud to be a locally owned and operated family business and as the company continues to grow we work hard to stay true to our values. It has always been all hands on deck for us, right down to our dog Marley ensuring customers are greeted as soon as they walk into our office.
